Slow Stitching includes
Hand stitching has been used in many cultures such as the Japanese Boro, Indian Kantha, hand stitched quilts, making and mending clothing and textiles. We are now connecting with these old traditions to create beautiful works.
Explore this slow stitching process where we reuse fabrics and clothes. We will explore texture, stitch and colour to create new old-look textile pieces, which could be, an art piece, a stitch journal, a bag or even an item of clothing.
